Oh wow, so much has happened since last time ... I've been a substitute prof for elementary english, my instructor job at Mad Science is going very well and changes in schedules at my full time work, Central Security B.P.G., will give me 26 full paid weeks off (yes, I do work 80 per week in the weeks that I will be working, but don't spoil my fun)!!!
Can you believe it? Its basically 7 days a week, 12 hrs shifts, with a couple of 8hrs so the total is 80 hrs per week ... but come on, a full week paid off afterwards!!! So now I've officially started classes at all three elementary school for Mad Science. The kids I teach range from kindergarden to grade 6, with the majority of them in the mid-elementary (grades 3,4,5) range.
My one day substitute teacher for english was a nice experience. I enjoyed it, the kids enjoyed it ... it was fun. I have to admit, teaching kids is hard work. I now have so much more respect and appreciation for all the elementary profs who make it look so easy! Kudos to all of you! My full day at the private school in NDG was purely amazing, and the thing is that even when I mentioned to the director that if he had any substitute requirements for the sciences to give me a shout too, I sort felt bad that I was asking for something other than elementary kids!
