Alright, so the vista desktop isn't the different on the left hand side from Windows XP, except that the icons are more like buttons instead of icons. On the right hand side, you see the gadgets. Its part of Windows Vista, I swear, lol. You can add or delete what type of gadgets you want ... right now you see the clock, calendar and a post it type note taker. Other options include stocks, currency exchange, weather, prayer times and azan, and much more! Well, nothing new here ... there is no special update for firefox running in Windows Vista, but the look I find is much cleaner. It blends in more nicely, and has a soft feel compared to in Windows XP where I found it was somewhat more rough. The My Computer window is much more intuitive than before. At the bottom, you have the description and details, the favorite links on the left and the display of the drives is the same though. One thing to point is that I like the change to the address bar. Its not just "C:\windows\..." its sorta like in PHP Fusion, "Pictures > Trip to Timmins " ... its broken down into easily read portions, and you can still see the full path by clicking on it. |
